Privacy

Purchases are processed by itch.io, which takes the payment and handles tax (see itch.io's privacy policy). When you activate ReaChat with your download link, we check the purchase with itch.io and keep its number and the name on it, to issue your licence key. We never see your card details.

Licensing. When you activate ReaChat, it sends our activation service your licence key, an anonymous computer identifier and your computer's name; it checks in once each time it starts, and remembers when your free trial started. We use this only to run your licence (for example the computer limit).

Your work and your AI. ReaChat sends your messages, the project information needed to answer them, and files you attach, directly from your computer to the AI service you choose (OpenAI, Anthropic or Google). They never pass through us. Your API keys and sign-ins stay on your computer, in your operating system's secure storage.

Updates. ReaChat checks GitHub for new versions. It contains no advertising or usage tracking.
